Associate Marketing Specialist

Purpose:
To develop a marketing strategy and execute marketing programs for the purposes of brand recognition, demand generation, lead generation, sales enablement, and revenue growth for a targeted customer segment and product portfolio.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
o Plan and perform communication with customers via advertising, website materials, social media, collateral, and trade show participation.
o Analyze competitors, market trends, prices, methods of marketing, and other factors that may influence future sales
o Administer and leverage the use of co-op marketing funds for the benefit Transition Network's marketing strategy
o Develop and execute a public relations strategy including PR events, article placement, and press releases
o Plan, execute and participate in tradeshows, customer seminars, and customer training
o Enable the direct sales and channel team with targeted marketing campaigns, training, print, and web tools
o Plan and execute comprehensive product release marketing plans
o Coordinate vendor and agency relationships and business transactions
o Perform selected departmental level tasks as directed, including continuous improvement activities
Nature & Scope:
o 25% domestic and international travel
o No direct reports

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
o Experience marketing hardened electronics to utilities or surveillance distributors and integrators
o A background in marketing to channel partners, business to business, and/or end users
Minimum
Qualifications:
o Person must have a minimum of one year experience in product marketing or market management
o Familiarity and passion for technology-related products
o Bachelor degree in marketing, engineering, or other related discipline
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Foreign language skills
o Experience with targeted customer segment and product line
o Networking and/or telecommunications equipment marketing experience
o MBAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
