The Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager is entrusted by the organization to lead medium to large scale IT infrastructure initiatives. This position requires a results oriented IT leader visible across the IT and Business organizations as having single point responsibility for the management and execution results of assigned projects. The Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager works with IT and business teams in initiating, structuring, managing and directing the successful delivery of IT projects. Duties include the following:
Ensuring that the appropriate project management process methodologies are adhered to throughout the life cycle of the project.
Facilitating regular status and progress reporting on assigned projects as defined by IT Leadership, the CIO, and other governance stakeholders.
Manages the installation and modification of software/hardware products for large, complex, difficult and longer duration projects; leads large teams of I.T. department and consulting employees
Ensure the successful execution and results through the management/control of project costs, schedule and scope with established tools processes, tools and metrics.
Building relationships and manage communication between the project stakeholders and performing IT teams/organizations.
Leading the management of project level external vendors.
Instituting and maintaining project level financial controls relating to planning/approval, implementation and capital and ongoing operational support costs.
Providing oversight and status reporting to the full portfolio of Infrastructure projects, providing IT management with analysis of status/issues as well as recommendations for action where needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree, Masters preferred, in Information Systems, Business administration, or the equivalent
Specific types of
Experience:
Strong background in IT Infrastructure project management and working knowledge of infrastructure technologies including but not limited to networking, data centers, managed file transfer tools/processes, voice systems (IVR), and infrastructure migration.
Experience in building strong relationships, being flexible, providing timely responses, having strong listening skills and a big picture mentality
Seasoned with demonstrative work experience in information systems, project management, cost/benefit analysis and client support
Experience concurrently managing multiple large, interrelated projects
Experience in managing outsourced/vendor relationships
5-7 years of experience in I.T. related project management or equivalent, which includes 4 years managing IT Infrastructure projects
5-7 years of experience in the development and utilization of project management tools, techniques, methodologies and resources
Project Management Certification a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders, being flexible, providing timely responses, having strong listening skills and a big picture mentality
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and tightly manage projects in a complex environment with multiple business customers and alliances
Ability to organize and analyze data and report to executive level management
Proven team building, leadership and project management skills and experience in implementing complex I.T. related projects
Ability to provide management oversight to a large portfolio of Infrastructure projects
Ability to coach and mentor Project Managers and other junior I.T. staff
