What you''ll get to do:
The Program Initiatives Manager is responsible for the development and management of Health Management (HM) department projects, vendors, and processes. These assignments are aligned with strategic priorities to accomplish department goals by managing programs and initiatives in provider engagement, medical trend and population health. Duties include the following:
Assist in the delivery/implementation of programs and pilots to address business issues, manage risks and drive profitability opportunities
Ensure the structure and management of the business case process is managed through tracking mechanisms, committee or workgroup forums, reporting, and communication to stakeholders and HM leadership
Work with functional Subject Matter Experts (SME) and managers, and Health Management teams in initiating, structuring, managing and directing the successful delivery of specialty vendor programs and HM strategic projects
Ensure the goals and objectives of the vendor programs and pilot projects are met and building interrelationships between data, strategy and process that are defined, managed, controlled, and evaluated
Responsible that proper prioritization and coordination occurs between the projects within the Health Management, the vendor, and functional collaborating teams. Will execute on the HM business segment strategy, by implementation and management of vendors, tactical programs and pilots
Facilitate routine status and progress reporting on assigned vendor assignments, projects managed and related programs as defined by HM Leadership
Responsibile for the business case process and execution results for large, complex, longer-duration programs and vendor relationships consisting of multiple short and permanent assignments
May be called upon to manage vendor pilots and extended vendor contracts, including the monitoring and assessment of vendor performance
Work cross-functionally with business teams in Medica and/or stakeholders serving as the facilitator and collaborator through which the HM initiatives are planned, implemented and managed

Bachelor''s degree in business administration, information systems, healthcare administration or related required; Master's degree preferred
8 years health plan operations, project management, vendor management, program design and innovation experience required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
