Process Engineer

THE RIGHT STAFF is currently accepting applications for a First Shift Process Engineer with previous experience in medical or aerospace environments for a temp to hire opportunity. Ideal candidates will have direct experience in CNC programming with Surf-Cam or similar software in a precision machine shop environment. Pay $18-24 DOQ.

To develop, prepare and coordinate manufacturing processes; drawings; and related documents in a manner that will ensure on time deliveries of scheduled projects for manufacturing. Lead and conceptualize process improvements.
Ensures the accuracy of all engineering documentation and its proper transmittal both internally and externally.
Create cost estimates for new or existing projects consistent with customer specifications and Company cost objectives.
Works closely with manufacturing personnel to de-bug programs and set-up sheets to ensure that all programs are designed to produce the correct parts in the most efficient manner.
Gathers information on speeds, feeds, and tooling requirements for various materials and machining practices.
Writes processes, prepares drawings and estimates time standards for all orders
Designs or assist in designing jigs, fixtures, tooling, and special production equipment required to meet customer specifications as needed.
Assists other departments on matters pertaining to the development of processes to ensure all pertinent facts are fully and properly considered.
Assists other departments in solving or responding to quality related problems.
Monitors the progress of
released to the production floor, performs time standards and updates processes when appropriate.
Participates in the development of process methods and procedures, work simplification practices and other process improvement activities.
Coordinates/communicates programming plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school education, plus at least 2 years of technical training in CNC/NC programming.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Thorough knowledge of shop math through trigonometry. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tool and fixture design, time standards, and machine center capabilities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 1 year of progressive milling and turning CNC programming experience, some of which must be with Surf-cam or similar software in a precision machining
shop environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
