We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our growing school.
This Teaching Assistant will support the classroom teachers and advance the HCPA's educational programs:
to create a classroom environment that is conducive to teaching, learning, and personal growth for students in accordance with each faculty members and student's ability and to base one's assistance to the classroom teacher on the premise that all children can learn and will learn to their highest potential.
They will build rapport and establish good relationships with students, parents, staff members and the community.

The ideal candidate will haveA BA in an education related field or an equivalent amount of coursework or related professional experience, at least one-two years of experience in a classroom setting, knowledge and understanding of curriculum and strategic planning, and experience working with children of diverse ethnic backgrounds in an urban school setting.
They also bring strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with students, parents, district staff and community members from diverse backgrounds, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task, and knowledge of the programs, functions, and procedures of a school setting.
