Summary:
The Logistics Manager oversees all strategic and tactical logistics functions of the King Technology, Inc.
(KTI) supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
This cross-functional role partners internally with production planning and purchasing teams to ensure all raw materials and components are in place for production, and ultimately that the finished goods are shipped to the customer efficiently.
Externally, this role owns direct relationships with freight carriers, brokers and third parties.
It serves as the relationship owner for day-to-day operations with our distribution warehouse(s), including inbound transportation, order picking and fulfillment, and outbound transportation.
This role is a key thought partner for the growth and development of KTI's supply chain network, including both product and process innovations of the company.
Essential Functions:
Create and maintain optimal supply chain network design based on current and future locations of raw material suppliers, contract manufactures, distribution points, and customers Maintain relationships with brokers, freight forwarders, and distribution warehouse(s) to ensure efficient and effective execution of KTI supply chain Manage international import strategy including tracking of duties, tariffs, and fees Identify, vet, and select carriers, brokers, and external logistics partners; negotiate pricing; develop and maintain relationships Partner with internal and external resources to develop cost-to-serve metrics and reduction activities, including routing guide decision tree for optimization with suppliers and customers Develop and evaluate metrics to assess logistics performance, identify opportunities, and implement enhancements that improve service to customers, optimize inventory investment, and achieve best total cost of ownership of the supply chain Ensure supply chain compliance with state, federal, and international regulations Other duties as assigned Job
Qualifications:
Five (5) years supply chain experience with bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field required ASCM/professional certification preferred Ability to function effectively in a results-oriented, fast-paced growth environment Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with changing priorities and competing demands Ability to effectively present information, data, recommendations to all levels High attention to detail; analytical and strong critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel Overnight travel up to 10% Embrace and foster company values of Integrity, Excellence, People Chemistry, Golden Rule, Courage and Servant-Leadership Job Type:
